ejabberd-mod-logsession software package provides logs session connections to a text file, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ejabberd-mod-logsession
ejabberd-mod-logsession is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ejabberd-mod-logsession package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ejabberd-mod-logsession *
You will get with ejabberd-mod-logsession package name, version, architecture and description in a table
